Panda House

So, my little panda needs a home. I’ve solicited the advise and expertise of my good friend AB9NZ (known as Tom to those of us who aren’t radio heads). More as an illustration to him than anything else, I sketched up what I intended the panda house to be. Check it out.

Unfortunately it looks like junk unless you click on the image and see the full sized one, but that should give you an idea of what I’m looking for. The front and sides will all be Purpleheart wood, an exotic hardwood from Central America. The DVD drive will be “stealthed” with a polished copper plate. I think that should look like a piece of fine furniture, recalling the old centerpiece radios of the 30’s, without the art deco vibe though. Later additions will include a passive 4 channel audio mixer and a CWLinux serial control panel.

I thought a CW Linux serial control panel was some cool Morse code key. Dissapointed over here to see it’s just more of that computer junk. Take good care Amigo, Tom, AB9NZ

Oh no, that is why I’m going to be adding a signalink or a rigblaster! Don’t worry, Computer Assisted CW is coming up. Although there is a device which is kinda like what you describe, the winkeyer.
